Viking Waters to Manage noWYR

Viking Waters, a premier consulting firm to the computer and high-tech industry, announced today that they have been tapped by wireless Internet startup noWYR to manage that company.

Kalar also touted noWYR's commitment to provide high-tech systems for homes, apartments, and housing developments. "In addition to wireless applications, they can wire homes and businesses for high-tech systems using everything from twisted pair wires to optical fiber. Their favorite for homes is a bundle called "smart wire" which contains a little bit of everything."

noWYR will offer very high-speed (over 1 million bits per second) wireless Internet connections to its residential and business customers using a variety of products from such proven manufacturers as Motorola®, D-Link®, Western Multiplex®, and NETGEAR®. “We intend to provide more bang for the customer's buck by offering higher speeds at a lower price than wired services,” said Kalar. “We will also offer services in areas not currently served by the more traditional methods such as cable and DSL telephone service.”

Businesses will benefit from even faster connections that in some instances can exceed T1 speeds. “Some installations may even be able to deliver T3 speeds or higher,” said Kalar. “We expect to be able to provide at least T1 speeds at all locations.”

Viking Waters worked with the noWYR owners from the initial conception. "We expect to 'go live' with noWYR's first installation in May," said an obviously excited Kalar.
